Nolan Cooney

GAT NATION is proud to represent NFL punter Nolan Cooney.

GAT NATION has represented Nolan Cooney since 2021.

In 2023, Nolan Cooney signed a futures/reserve contract with the Arizona Cardinals. He went on to play in Arizona for the 2023 preseason and played four games for the Arizona Cardinals in total. In those four games, he recorded a total of 13 punts for 592 yards.

During week 9 of the 2022 season, Nolan was a member of the Arizona Cardinals, where he was afforded an opportunity to back up Andy Lee because of Nolan's incredible hang time, exceptional holding, and ability to kickoff.  He was also with the Arizona Cardinals during 2022 training camp. In 2021, Nolan signed as an UDFA with the New Orleans Saints. He received the highest signing bonus out of any undrafted specialist that year (and turned down even higher offers from other interested teams). Nolan seized the opportunity with the Saints and split time in two preseason games, punting five times with a long of 49-yards and handling kickoff duties.

Nolan graduated from Syracuse University, where he was Third Team All-ACC and voted Honorable Mention All-American by PFF his senior season. He also was awarded the Piccolo Award, which honors the most courageous player in the ACC, for overcoming testicular cancer in high school. Nolan has had numerous workouts during his NFL career, including with teams such as the Colts, Patriots, Giants, and Packers (where rumor has it that he put a hole in the ceiling of the practice facility from one of his punts)
